Tether Launches Mining Software to Improve Efficiency and Capacity

The main objective of the recently launched Tether BTC mining software is to improve the effective management of mining capacity.

Mining hardware transmits commands and signals, and Tether developers will release innovative JavaScript libraries, including WhatsMiner, AvalonMiner, and Antminer.

Paolo Ardoino, CTO of Bitfinex and Tether, shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) stating that certain parts of the mining software may be made available on open source platforms in the future.

Ardoino emphasized that he is a key contributor to Moria, the mining farm coordination tool, and said that all recent advances have been made using Holepunch technology.

In an earlier post, Ardoino provided insight into the capabilities of Moria. This mining tool enables communication between components in the BTC mining ecosystem, enabling interactions in a streamlined, secure, attack-resistant and cost-effective manner.

Ardoino explains that each miner has a unique public/private key, enables encrypted and secure data streaming through the hypercore, and receives instructions through the hypermining cluster. Compared to previous attempts, this approach reduces the complexity of firewall configurations, improves resilience to outages, allows for easy replication across sites, and creates a sense of improved maintainability and modularity.

Despite legal challenges and regulatory actions, Tether remains committed to virtual currency mining.

After declaring its intention to use a certain portion of its monthly profits to acquire BTC, Tether announced a partnership with a local company to invest in energy production and sustainable BTC mining in Uruguay.

Uruguay is known for its strong renewable energy infrastructure. Thanks to its rich natural resources, Uruguay generates nearly 100% of its electricity from renewable sources.
